  • As a guest: Members are entitled to book a court with a guest. Note that guests must arrive at the clubhouse at least 10 minutes prior to their booked court time to sign a waiver and pay the guest fee of $10.00 per person per day. The guest fee is waived for juniors (those under 18) and students (appropriate student ID must be presented).
  • Unbooked courts, walk-on: If you aren’t a member, and don’t know a member who can invite you as a guest, you are still welcome to play on any unbooked courts as a “non-member”. Prior to playing, non-members must sign a waiver and pay the non-member fee of $12.50 per person per day. The non-member fee is waived for juniors (those under 18) and students (appropriate student ID must be presented).

Ten days before each clinic starts, non-members are able to “see” the clinic in CourtReserve and register. To register, login into CourtReserve and click on “Clinics, Camps & Events” in the header. Non-members are considered guests of the club and will pay an additional $25.00 fee for the clinic. If you do not already have an account in CourtReserve, you can find instructions here.

Philpott Children’s Tennis Fund

We encourage the community to support the Doug Philpott Inner-City Children’s Tennis Fund. You can do this with the Donate button below. You will receive a charitable receipt at the end of the year from the Fund.

Since 1991, the Philpott Children’s Tennis Fund has helped introduce Toronto’s inner-city children to tennis. Founded out of a desire to honour the memory of Doug Philpott – one of the great folk heroes of Canadian tennis – the Fund provides free lessons, from qualified coaches and instructors, to kids throughout Toronto’s diverse neighbourhoods. Here, coaches teach not only the basics of the game, but also help participants learn valuable life lessons about discipline, cooperation and self-confidence.

In 2023, Wanless Tennis raised a total of $3,161 to the Doug Philpott Inner-City Children’s Tennis Fund – $1,276 contributed by individual members and $1,885 which came from the Ladder proceeds.
