Junior Tennis Lessons at Wanless Park

One of Toronto’s best-known Junior Tennis programs is run by our Head Pro, Arthur Wolf (Tennis Canada – Certified) Coach 2 and Club Pro 3, who will be returning for his 27th season with his team of certified instructors and assistants.

The Wanless Junior Lesson Program is a comprehensive course that includes one of our lesson clinics scheduled throughout the Spring, Summer and Fall, a Wanless Tennis t-shirt and entry to the Saturday Morning Fun Program. The Junior Lesson Program culminates in participation in one of our Wanless Junior Tennis Teams. At Wanless Tennis, our pathway to success uses the principles of Progressive Tennis in all of our lesson programs. The program design includes a six-to-one student-to-instructor ratio target, and only qualified certified instructors are used.

Tennis Clinics and Dates for 2020

At Wanless, we offer clinics that are customized for different skill levels of our junior members. We believe in building strong tennis skills and sportsmanship from a young age and nurturing this skillset through each level – from Tiny Tykes through Intermediate levels to High Performance. Learn more about the different levels on our Progressive Tennis page.

We offer 5 clinics during the tennis season starting in April and continuing through summer and fall. Our Spring clinic begins the week of April 20 and runs over an 8-week period with one lesson per week. Lessons are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays and take place from 4 PM to 5 PM or from 5 PM to 6 PM.

Our Summer clinics are 2-week programs, with start dates of June 15, July 13 and August 10. They run Monday through Thursday each week (with each Friday as a rain date), and take place from 4 PM to 5 PM or from 5 PM to 6 PM.

Our Fall clinic begins the week of September 7 and runs over an 8-week period with one lesson per week. Lessons are on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays and take place from 4 PM to 5 PM or from 5 PM to 6 PM.

The High Performance option in Clinics 1 and 5 is 2 days a week, 2 hours per day for those players looking for more advanced instruction and playing time. This High Performance group will form the core of our Junior OTA Touring Team. The cost of this program is $395.

All of the details for each of the 5 clinics are outlined in the tabs below, including duration, days and times for the different levels.

NOTE: The Junior Lesson Program fee of $140 is applied to the first clinic selected per child. All additional clinics for that child cost $130. Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis as space is limited. You must be a Junior Member to take part in the Junior Lesson Program.
