Mission Statement

Wanless Park Community Tennis Club is a family oriented club whose mission is to provide tennis facilities for our members in a friendly, welcoming environment. We also strive to promote the growth of tennis by providing tennis instruction to junior and adult members, and to run organized activities designed to accommodate all levels of tennis players within the community. We have been active in the Yonge and Lawrence area for over 50 years and have a very active membership.

Our club is a not-for-profit corporation that manages and maintains facilities owned by the City of Toronto, and in accordance with the City of Toronto’s Policy for Outdoor Community Tennis Club Operations has the following as part of our mandate: “To reduce barriers to access, each community organization using Parks and Recreation Division permitted space will support the creation of an equitable society through the organization’s effort to undertake planned, monitored and co-ordinated activities aimed at enabling diverse communities to participate fully in their services, programs and decision-making.”
