We will have both Tuesday afternoon and Wednesday evening House Leagues this Summer season. Tuesday afternoon sessions will be from July 2 through August 27, Wednesday evening sessions will be from July 3 through August 14.
New for Summer 2024 Wednesday Evening House League – Many players have asked if we could provide more flexibility in “time slot” playtimes, still playing among their self-rating skill level peers. Traditionally players have been restricted to a single time slot, according to their rating. With a flexible approach to setting the teams and matches;
Depending on the data we’ll collect on rating, availability and playtime preferences during registration, we’ll see if we can accommodate the interest in a more flexible schedule. No guarantees, but hopefully we can make it happen.
Therefore, when you register for this season, please be REALISTIC on your self-rating level AND SPECIFY your playtime availability and preference. If we’re successful, you should expect to receive a variable schedule of matches across a couple of time slots. If you are only available in a single time slot, make that your sole selection.
House League matches include both men and women, and are equalized based on the self-rating provided when registering. Self-rating is based on the Tennis Canada Player Rating Scale. Each player should apply the scale based on only their serve and the weakest of their forehand or backhand. Please be realistic about your self-rating. No one enjoys or benefits from a lopsided match.
House league is intended as an opportunity for everyone to get out and play with new partners and opponents, meet new people, and enjoy some friendly tennis. As a result, no requests to play only with one particular partner will be accommodated.
Registration is NOW OPEN for Summer House Leagues in CourtReserve and will close at midnight on June 24. Schedules will be sent out by June 29. As registration numbers are limited, sign up now to avoid disappointment.
