We are actively preparing for the upcoming season and aiming to be open on April 1. We're very much aware that the 2022 season will likely be subject to guidelines and protocols set out by the City of Toronto and the Province of Ontario with respect to COVID-19 and we will likely have to maintain the same COVID-19 protocols that we successfully implemented throughout the 2020 & 2021 seasons. As such, we are in the process of updating the Wanless Park Tennis website to reflect :
We are working on new activities for members this season which will be posted online in the What’s New in 2022 of our website once finalized. Please note that offerings and dates are subject to change.
Membership types and fees for 2022 have changed for this season. There has been a lot of confusion around the definition of a family and last season we found that two thirds of adults from Family Memberships did not book a tennis court. Additionally, a significant number of families purchased family memberships when it was not cost-effective for them to do so. Therefore, we have simplified the membership categories and we are no longer offering a Family Membership. All members will join as either an Adult Member or a Junior Member. Adults who intend to only play occasionally are encouraged to play as a guest of either a Junior or Adult Member and pay the guest fee of $10/booking to play.
The online store will open for membership registrations on Saturday February 5 at 10 AM.
Only membership registration for Returning Adults (including returning Adults from Family Memberships) who were members in either 2021 or 2020 will be available at this time and will remain open on a first-come, first-served basis. Memberships will be available ONLY until we reach our cap of 600 Adult members. You are strongly urged to register as soon as possible after the online store opens and before Saturday February 19 in order to secure your spot for the upcoming season.
Membership registration for Juniors will also be available when the online store opens. Junior memberships do not have a cap and will be available for registration throughout the season.
Membership registration for New Adults will open to people who have registered on the Waiting List on Saturday February 19. If you do not qualify as a Returning Adult and are interested in getting an Adult membership for future seasons, be sure to add your name to the Waiting List by registering here. At the end of January those on the Waiting List will receive an email detailing the additional steps that will need to be completed.
