Junior Programming Summer Update

Hi Everyone,

As we move into Step 1 of Ontario’s reopening plan, we wanted to provide an update on Junior Programming for the 2021 season.

Junior Clinics

Junior Clinics will commence on June 14, with a modified two week session (total of four lessons). Spaces are still available for certain programs - please check the website for more information and availability.

Summer Daytime Clinics

Summer Daytime Clinics will run as previously planned. Availability is limited - please check the website for details.

Junior Match Play

Junior Match Play will commence on Saturday, June 19. As a reminder, match play is for junior members who are interested in playing more matches and competitive points. The program is offered to all junior levels from Novice to High Performance (ages 7 - 18). Look out for a separate email for details on how to sign up for this exciting new program.

Junior Ladder

The Junior Ladder will give players the opportunity to play matches with a variety of players in a competitive, but friendly environment. The Ladder Season will run from June 16 to September 6. We will have two ladders sessions for the season.

When you begin play, you will be placed in a ladder box with players of similar skills. Identifying your current skill level is important to allow for more competitive matches. Matches will consist of 12 games total, or however many games can be concluded in the 55 minute booking slot. At the beginning of each session you can view your Ladder by clicking the GameTime Ladder option and you or your parents can arrange matches with your box opponents. All scores will be entered by the participants directly on GameTime which will keep track of the standings.

Please sign up for the ladder by June 13. In the comments section, indicate your age and skill level (Intermediate, Advanced of High Performance). Each Ladder entry costs $10 for the season, regardless of how many sessions are entered. The club will be donating all proceeds towards the Doug Philpott Inner-City Children’s Tennis Fund.
