Until Staff are allowed to perform their duties in the Clubhouse, the Member Service Representative will be stationed outside. As a result, the last court booking will be at 9:00 PM and booked courts will be cancelled in the event of inclement weather.
COVID-19 Protocols For Players:
- Maintain physical distancing at all times!
- Do not just show up expecting to play. You must book using GameTime so the Club can maintain contact tracing.
- Arriving at the courts for your booking:
- Arrive on-time for your booking.
- For bookings on Courts 1, 2 and 3, go to the east gate. For bookings on Courts 4 and 5, go to the west gate.
- Please wait outside the gates for the first five minutes of your booking.
- When waiting by the gate, if physical distancing cannot be maintained, Toronto Public Health recommends that masks be worn outdoors.
- Do not enter the courts until directed to do so by the Member Service Representative.
- Play will begin 5 minutes after the hour on Courts 1, 2, and 3, and 35 minutes after the hour on Courts 4 and 5.
- Between bookings, the Member Service Representative will clean the court and ask players screening questions about their COVID-19 exposure, after which players will be permitted to enter the courts.
- Players are strongly encouraged to use the provided hand sanitizer upon entering and leaving the courts.
- Court bookings will end on the hour for Courts 1, 2, and 3, and on the half hour for Courts 4 and 5.
- The Clubhouse is closed.
- The City has not yet turned on the water for the public washrooms. We will be renting a porta-potty, but it will be strictly for Staff use only. It will not be available to Members or the public. We have not yet been advised by the City when they will be turning on the water and opening the public washrooms.
The temporary suspension of programs, activities, Clubhouse use, and the protocols listed above will all be revised according to announcements from the Province and the City. As you are aware, the situation is fluid. We intend to adapt as quickly as possible and will update you frequently as things evolve.
These are challenging times. We hope the ability to play tennis at Wanless is helpful to maintaining both your physical and mental well-being.
